Tomorrow's forecasts suggest slightly lighter winds for racing, but in the meanwhile tonight the Owner's dinner is coming!!

Here we are at the starting line!

There’s no two without three.

Perfect weather conditions really bring us joy to our first racing day: blue sky, sun and a southeasterly breeze of about 14 knots were waiting for us at the starting line.

Course no. 9 foresees a Virgin Gorda Tour of about 28 miles: we started with a first windward mark and then the fleet went on a fetch inside the Dog Islands and down to Ginger Island, where we have been the first A Division yacht to arrive!

We ended with a long leg at close reach along the western side of the Island. Everything was going really well apart from a wind hole that met us firstly and that involuntarily warned our opponents, so that they avoided in loosing some really precious minutes!

Nevertheless we are really satisfied of an honorable third place and of the yacht performance! Now the crew is arranging their plans for tomorrow race to do even better.

..but tonight everybody is going to celebrate at the Crew Party!

What a training day!

Hi Everybody,

the first training day has come to an end! We had the opportunity to circumnavigate the island extending  the  racing route of about 27 miles.
We could enjoy outstanding weather conditions: sun and wind with 15-20 knots, let us test all the points of sail  and experience Cape Arrow qualities.

We are happy to notice a good harmony and a cooperative attitude among all the racing and permanent crew!

Hope to repeat soon such a good time, see you tomorrow!

Virgin Gorda: here we come!

We have just arrived in Virgin Gorda at the wonderful Caribbean YCCS venue, to partecipate in Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta: one of the most prestigious superyacht racing event of this season!

We are even more excited because of the arrival onboard of Mr Pier Luigi Loro Piana, the event patron, along with his crew where a special mention is dedicated to Francesco De Angelis.
It's an honor to Cape Arrow having been selected by such highly experienced racers.

We can't wait for starting first trainings, but mostly to get the race started on March 21st!

Keep following us!
